Hermes Berline Bag Review

Posted in Bags, Hermes

Being a sportsperson, don’t you give up on bags in general! Just take a quick stroll on the casual edge of France’s well-known fashion house. With an iconic Kelly turnlock, a removable shoulder strap and the incredible car inspired pattern, Hermes Berline Bag is a treat for almost everyone who once dream a casual approach handbag from this very brand.

Car inspired? Yes, of course! The front and back quilted pattern giving an ode to the motorsports was showcased in the Fall Winter 2011 collection. Bow down! Indeed to the thought of these lined patterns on the front and back, picked downright from the sport’s cars’ bucket seat. The signature Kelly turnlock, sporty outlook and a detachable shoulder strap attached to its so-curvy silhouette make this Hermes’ handbag more recognizable in a heap of handbags. It may or may not be called a twin of Hermes Evelyn or Hermes Jypsiere bags.

However, a new size was recently added in 2011 but seen in Hermes Spring 2013 collection, it’s an adorable Mini Berline, having an extra long shoulder strap, you can easily wear it crossbody. What gives us more reason to adore it? Well, it’s Berline’s versatility to switch from a sporty chic sling bag to a spiffy clutch. Yes! You guessed it right, the shoulder strap is detachable! And since we love seeing what Hermes will do pretty much anytime, we undoubtedly fell in love with this quality too.

Raise your hands if you have seen this bag and are already swooning over Hermes Berline handbag’s design, it’s like the more sporty and practical feel of Hermes’ bags. If your hands get easily tired by the clutches than you can easily sling it on your shoulder with the help of its wide and long leather strap. Mainly designed for carrying cross-body, these thick shoulder straps are gorgeously linked with chain at its ends. However, the ‘mini Berlin’ which was recently showcased in 2013 ‘sporting life’ collection, supports a longer strap than the rest of the Berlins.

Who says Hermes can’t go ultra-casual? For the ones who say, the Hermes Berlin Bag is just in front, alive and breathing. The iconic Hermes closure that you might have witnessed in several of your structured bags from the brand is back in action, now supporting a totally different look. On Berlin’s curvy silhouette you would find a similar curvy patch on both front and back, edges being finished by contrast piping. The centre patch is adorned with a fascinating vertical quilting akin to the seats of sports car and is complimented stunningly by the Hermes iconic lock.

So if you want to add some interesting twist to your outfit, then this is the perfect chic-bag for you. Its apt for all your casual occasions, you can also rock a black Berline in your workplace.
